My name’s Stephanie, I’m a psychotherapist, clinical hypnotherapist and nutritionist. The way we frame our experiences and the beliefs we hold about ourselves are the cause of self-disturbance. I use Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), which is a form of CBT. I work with couples as well as individuals and integrate various types of therapy alongside REBT. I work with an array of issues, with particular emphasis on working with anxiety and shame. I do a lot of work on improving self-esteem, though this often runs alongside another priority problem. I work with phobias, loss of direction, trauma and depression, OCD, as well as couples therapy. Some work also involves promoting a healthy relationship with food to achieve weight control. Though I work with many problems which extend beyond these too, there is really no one who cannot benefit from REBT/CBT in my humble opinion.

My background spanning various disciplines means that I offer a unique approach to overall health and wellbeing. I can also discuss the scientific relationship between our bodies and our brains for those clients who wish to approach their wellbeing from all angles, in support of the cognitive work we do. I take a goal-driven approach, so we will agree a goal to work towards and the therapeutic process ends when it’s reached. I utilise other therapeutic tools to make the process effective and completely personal, therapy is so personal after all.

I’m extremely dedicated to those I help and incredibly fortunate to do what I do. What you’ll learn in session can be applied to any problem, no matter how complicated. This means that you’ll be able to use what you discover during therapy for other problems in the future, with a new and healthier approach to life, so it truly is an amazing investment. I know first-hand how REBT is an effective therapy for achieving sustainable wellbeing because I used it to transform my own life. I still, and will always, use it and I haven’t looked back since.
